“Bloquons Tout” protests are a movement in France began in September 2025 that emerged on social media based on the principle of “blocking everything,” aimed at making public outrage visible. The movement called for a general strike and nationwide “shutdown”.It was used particularly in relation to issues such as the increase in the retirement age, the high cost of living, police violence, and crises of democratic representation. The protests intensified after the Macron government raised the retirement age from 62 to 64. “Bloquons Tout” contributed to the radicalization of the protests. “Bloquons Tout” protests include mass blockade actions such as work stoppages, road closures, and the shutdown of logistics centers.
In this committee, delegates are expected to discuss upon French “Bloquons Tout” protests, its causes, consequences, and human rights aspects.
